Sustainability Policy

At The Indian Dish, we’re 100% committed to sustainability and the future of our planet. Like everyone, we’re doing our bit to become a little greener everyday, and as part of our mission to deliver unbeatable events that are also kind to our planet, we endeavour to always do the following:

Reducing Food Waste

We are on a mission to reduce food waste! We make our food fresh to order to cater for the exact number of guests. Any unused dry goods, we donate to our local food bank.

Re-using again and again

We re-use anything and everything possible! From buffet trays to china plates we wash and re-use as much as we can. We are eliminating single use plastics from our business from 2023.

Recycling

Wherever possible we use biodegradable packaging, food boxes and utensils. We always use wooden spoons and you won't find a plastic spoon in sight!

We have separate recycling bins in or kitchens for plastic, glass and cardboard.

Responsibly sourcing

We source ingredients as locally as possible to reduce food miles, whilst supporting fellow local businesses. We also use seasonal ingredients and during summer months a lot of our fruit, salad and vegetables come from our family allotment here in Kent.
